Founded in 1912 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Steelcase produces office furniture, architectural and technology products for office environments and the education, health care and retail industries. It is the largest office furniture manufacturer in the world with facilities, offices, and factories in the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Fortune Magazine has also notably recognized Steelcase as one of its 2015 “World's Most Admired Companies” in the Home Equipment and Furnishings industry sector.
Historically Steelcase’s customer service operations only focused on replacements and parts for its furniture.  The modern iteration of Steelcase however, with high-tech products such as Media:Scape, needed to make the transition to digital. Steelcase also wanted to improve productivity, streamline operations, reduce costs, and better serve customers.  As such, Steelcase engaged Sage Solutions Consulting to find a cost effective way to implement the key functions in SAP CRM, while avoiding the pitfalls of a costly, long-term project.

Sage Solutions Consulting Inc. intimately understands that designing, configuring and implementing SAP CRM is a complex and resource-intensive endeavour. Sage Solutions Consulting therefore provided Steelcase with a comprehensive roadmap based on the Agile methodology.

Sage Consultants helped identify and effectively manage the process across the organization’s enterprise architecture. This included (but was not limited to) providing a detailed scope, list of work products/functionality, assumptions, constraints, timelines, hours, team structure and risk mitigation plan.  As a result, Steelcase was able to effectively evolve their IT platform, advance their Customer Support globally and usher in the modern iteration of this progressive brand.
